From The Kitchen: July Menu
Our new July menu is out!
New vegetarian dishes include the refreshing Tofu Pineapple Bok Choy, one of our favorites, the Gnocchi Basil Pesto with delicious gnocchi (now also available gluten free!!) from Bozza Food in Longmont, Peach Tomato Tofu, and a customer favorite, our Mango Green Chilis.
Seafood lovers will be delighted with our "Chef of the Month" Elana Amsterdam and her delicious Roasted Salmon With Anchovy Olive Tapenade, served with kale and butternut squash.
Elana has written for publications including The Denver Post, The Boulder Daily Camera, Delicious Living, Delight Magazine, and Elephant and has been featured in a variety of publications including 5280, Working Woman, Crain’s New York Business, Fortune Magazine and The Wall Street Journal, and has appeared on CNN and MSNBC. Her book, The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook, will be published by 10 Speed Press this month.
In addition, the menu features our delicious Crockpot Chipotle Chicken, a Mint Mojo Flank Steak perfect for grilling, Barbecued Beef Short Ribs (they are HUGE - almost 3 pounds!), and Peach Tomato Pork Chops.
Place your order by midnight on Tuesday for pick-up or delivery on Thursday or visit us at our kitchen (M-F 10-6:30, Sat 10-2) to pick your favorites from our freezer.
In the Spotlight: Movies
Our friends at There With Care (a charity supporting children and families facing critical illness) are hosting two pre-release screenings of Harry Potter And the Half Blood Prince. The Boulder screening will be on July 10th at the Century, and the Denver screening will be on July 12th at United Artists. Tickets are available at www.therewithcare.org.
The movie Food, Inc. (www.foodincmovie.com) takes a hard, critical look at our nation's food system and will be playing in Boulder from July 3rd through July 8th at the Century (29th Street Mall).
