Going, Going, … Gone
This applies to our very popular February menu and to our not-so-popular current location.
You can still order the delicious meals on the February menu today (Tuesday, Feb. 26th) for pick-up on Thursday, Feb. 28th.
After almost exactly one year of bootstrapping in the very industrial kitchen of our friends at Natural Temptations we are very excited to announce that we will be moving to our own kitchen in March.
The new kitchen is conveniently located at 2690 28th Street, at the corner of 28th St. & Bluff St. Landmarks are A-OK Liquor, Dot’s Diner, and (since everybody seems to know where it is), Fascinations. Our kitchen is on the east side of 28th Street, and the south side of Bluff Street, in a former Pizza Hut take-out location.
We expect to complete our move by Tuesday, March 18th, but please check your order confirmation for the correct pick-up location and driving directions.
Recipe Idea: Butternut Squash Soup
An easy and delicious soup for almost all occasions.
Makes about 6 servings:
1 large butternut squash (about 4 lbs.), peeled
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and pepper
Nutmeg
1 onion, chopped
5 cups veggie broth
Cut squash into 1-inch chunks.
Slowly melt the butter in a large pot. Add onion and cook until translucent, about 8 minutes. Add squash and veggie broth, bring to a simmer and cook until squash is tender.
Remove squash chunks with slotted spoon, place in a blender and puree. Return blended squash to pot. OR puree the squash in the pot if you have a hand blender or stick pureer.
Stir and season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. "Guten Appetit!"

You can just drop by our kitchen and browse through our fridge and freezer to buy one or many meals? In our new kitchen we will have a display fridge and freezer, so it’ll be easy to see what’s available.
Also, we are planning an open house to celebrate the move to our new kitchen and our first anniversary. Stay tuned for more details and don’t miss the party.
