Commitment to continued improvement
We know we don’t have all the answers but we are committed to a process of continued improvement.
There will always be areas of our business where we wish we could do better, but with support from you, our customer, we will continue to improve.
These areas currently include:
- We know how important it is to understand and cater to your dietary needs (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-free meals). Even if we are not able to accommodate your needs right away, given enough time, we will incorporate your feedback into different meal options.
- Despite our best efforts we are not always able to find each of our ingredients as an organic product. We will always let you know if an ingredient is non-organic – and if we call something "natural," we will explain what that means to us. If you know a source for us to buy some of our non-organic ingredients, please let us know!
- We are committed to buying local whenever possible. However, buying local is not as convenient, consistently available, or cost-effective as we would like it to be. So, be patient with us. We plan to increase the percentage of what we buy local over time as it fits with our budget and as we get more experienced.
- The nature of our packaging (Ziploc™ bags) is not the best choice for our environment, but Ziploc™ bags happen to be the best option we know of for freezing and preserving your meals (i.e. no freezer burn). If you wash and dry your Ziploc™ bags and bring them back to us (preferably with the zippers cut off), we will recycle them for you.
Along the way we take responsibility for our success and failure. We celebrate successes and see failures as opportunities for growth.
