Chef of the month – Tony Hessel – Brasserie 1010
So – first things first! How do you say Brasserie? CLICK HERE for a very cool website that gives you pronunciations. Second – what do it mean? It’s an “informal French café that serves beer, wine and simple, hearty food.”

Toby and I hit happy hour the other night at Brasserie 1010 (our current chef of the month is Chef Tony Hessel with the Ahi Tuna Gluten Free Pizza). It was incredible! We had a lovely window seat and threw down with drinks and apps.
We walked out filled up with a diverse assortment of amazing and beautiful food and some drinks that got to the point, if ya know what I’m sayin’.
Check it out – here’s what we got:
- Scallop Appetizer $7
- Blue Cheese Slider $3
- Gruyere filled “Gougers” $2
- Beef Tartare -$6
- Ham and Gruyere Slider $3
- Mussels with french fries $4
- Beer $3.25 and a couple vodka and grapefruits $3.75 each.
We had such an amazing and affordable date night in a casual but lovely and active atmosphere. Check them out for happy hour – you won’t be disappointed. They also have a diverse and delicious brunch, lunch and dinner menu.
Thank you – Chef Tony and Brasserie 1010 for being a part of our “Chef of the month program”. We love 1010 and wish you a busy and fun summer!
