
This is our August menu – you can already order from it, but you won’t be able to get items from this menu delivered (or pick them up) until Thursday, August 5th.
Each month a local guest/celebrity chef contributes one recipe to our menu. Our Chef of the Month for August is Antonio Laudisio from Laudisio in Boulder and his recipe is the delicious Boulder Polenta.
Antonio’s grandfather cooked on the ocean liners coming from Italy in the early 1900’s. He moved his family to New York and opened the first family bakery in Brooklyn. Out of this, the family pizzeria/restaurant tradition emerged, first in Florida and then in Colorado. The first Laudisio opened on the corner of 28th and Iris twenty years ago and then moved to the 29th Street Shopping District in 2006. Antonio says "Through our Italian culture, we respond to the community awareness of real food. You are truely missing out if you’ve never had the Boulder Polenta from Laudisio’s! This is our version of this famous dish – baked Polenta filled with spinach and ricotta and asiago cheese and a flavorful Puttanesca sauce. Did we mention that this is one of our favorite dishes ever?

This recipe derives its flavor from the delicious Palisade peach from Morton's Orchards and a tomato barbeque sherry sauce and marinade (sweetened with a hint of agave nectar). Served with brown Basmati rice and green beans. Yum!

We usually try to stay away from creamy and buttery dishes, but this recipe "called" to us! Tender chicken thighs and Hazel Dell button mushrooms are marinated in a touch of butter, cream, white wine, and broth and spiced with tarragon. Served with wild blend rice and agave and orange glazed carrots.
